Depends. If you are from Tamil Nadu, then with a rank of 12k you can get a seat at Chemical or Civil engineering.
If you are in Open quota, with a rank of around 5k you will get Civil or Chemical.
But still you can give a try, but I'm sure there are fewer chances.
