Hello!

Eligibility to get admission in M.Tech through GATE is that the candidate should have completed their B.tech/B.E with a valid GATE score. But Students who have done their B.tech programme from IIIT and having points above 8 can join IITS for MS , M.Tech or P.hD programme without valid GATE score.

There are some colleges in which Gate Qualifying or Score is not mandatory for Selection of Postgraduate courses (Eg: IIT Hyderabad, you can visit IITH official website for more information). But the candidate should perform well in Interview and entrance test.

Hello Aspirant.

If one doesn’t get qualifying marks in the GATE exam, he/she will not get score. Only qualified students get GATE score and All India Rank. Others can only know their marks.

If you didn’t qualify GATE but want to do M.Tech , Don’t worry..Not all institutes ask for GATE scores for M.Tech admissions. There are few very good institutes with great faculty and placements admit students based on their own exams. Some of them give a weight to GATE but also give a significant importance to their own exam.

There are few institutes admit students on their own admission procedure that include a screen exam followed by an interview
