Hello,

With 170 marks in NEET UG 2025 and ST category, it is very difficult to get a government medical seat (MBBS or BDS) as the cut-offs are usually higher, even for ST category.

Here are a few options you can consider:

  1. Private medical colleges – You might get admission in some private colleges, but fees will be high.

  2. BDS (Dental) – You can check for private BDS colleges, as cut-off is usually lower than MBBS.

  3. Other courses – You can go for allied health courses like B.Sc Nursing, BPT (Physiotherapy), B.Sc in Paramedical courses, etc.

Begin a career in Medical and Allied Sciences. Admissions Open for

Apply to JSS University Mysore 2025

  4. State counselling – Still attend state and AIQ counselling, sometimes seats remain vacant and cut-offs drop in mop-up or stray rounds.

  5. Drop and try again – If you are determined to get MBBS in a govt. college, you can take a drop and prepare better for NEET 2026.

Hope it helps !
