Yes you can still get into national institutes of technology bit they wont be the 1st or 2nd tier. You can aim for the 3rd tier NITs which are not so bad either. But if you have given any other entrance exam, keep your options open.

It would've been better if you would have mentioned your category. Factually speaking, if you are either a general or OBC category student you won't be getting any seat in NIT. For OBC, there are very few chances but you will get a seat in the least ranked NIT for a non popular branch. Opting for that will turn out to be a really bad choice. If you are an SC or ST student there are fair chances that you will get a seat.Check this link to know about your chances
