Hello,

As of previous years code of conduct, you have to appear engineering entrance exam and score from the entrance will be used through counseling process to get equivalent college option for admission.

As of now , some engineering entrance like jee mains , keam , kcet is conducted. So colleges will accept entrance score for admission.

Fee college like VIT Pune , vellore campus,  MIT Pune accept students admission on the basis of merit. So you have to look out for college campus for current year if you want to take admission else you have to go through direct admission process.

It would be better to look out for college option who has officially declared that admission will be done on the basis of merit. Apply for those options as per your interest.

On the part of CSE, it all depends on branch wise percentage cutoff which is decided by the college selection authority. As it is a new process so there is no way to predict approximately.

Hope it helps!
