The answer i give is yes but should also get good rank in jee mains.
IIEST has become an INI (Institute of National Importance) and the corresponding entrance examination is JEE Mains (which used to be earlier as WBJEE).
So you have to appear in JEE Mains and manage to have a fair rank within 30k in All India Basis (for general candidate). Apart from that the candidate should have secured a minimum of 75% aggregate marks (for General category) and 65% marks (for OBC/SC/ST/PwD category) in the Higher Secondary exams of their respective Boards.
