As few of the colleges conduct there own entrance exams whereas few take you on the merit basis . However it depends on your scores and your college preferences.

If you're planning for DU then your marks are low you won't be able to get admissions there however in the Universities like BHU , AMU if you pass the entrance exam you can surely get the admissions there.
