The MHT-CET or Common Entrance Test is an annual entrance exam conducted by the Government of Maharashtra. It is conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education.

Now to answer your question, The minimum qualifying marks of 50% of the total marks (75 out of 100) in  MHT CET for computer science. but you score 79 which is more than that so with no difficulty you can enroll yourself for computer science course.

With this score you can get seat in College of Engineering Pune, is an autonomous institute of the Government of Maharashtra, situated in Pune, Maharashtra, India. and many more colleges.

Congratulations for your rank. Yes you have a chance to get government engineering college but which college or which branch you get it will be very difficult to predict us. Because you know every year cut-off marks will differ basis of college to college.
