The procedure of admission in Fergusson's is different from that of mainstream DU, etc. A student is not given his / her major subject at the time of the admission. It is assihass or given to select after completing first year i.e. you will get your honours in 2nd year of your undergraduate degree. If you belong to the general category, it's safer to opt if you have 90% or above. Otherwise, if you belong to ST,SC, OBC, etc. you can land up a seat even with 75%. The eligibility for admission in Fergusson college is to have Passed class 12th in any stream and the admission is completely based in Merit with 12th percentage.

Usually 5 merit list are declared every year. Cutoff will depend upon your 12th marks, state domicile, category and other reservations.
