Hello there!

As you have high percentile in cbse you can do well in engineering

The scope is also high

Metallurgical engineers have opportunities both in India and abroad. They can be hired by public sector companies like DRDO, ISRO and Indian Railway. Professionals in this career can also opt for teaching jobs in universities and colleges.

Candidates with B. Tech and M. Tech degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from IITs can be hired by Top Metal Manufacturing companies, Electrical companies, R & D Labs, Construction companies, Fabrication units, Metal extraction units and Engineering workshops etc.The salary package of Metallurgical Engineers depends on various factors like company, job profile, qualification, skills and work experience. The average salary of a Bachelor degree holder from IIT is between Rs. 7.5 – 8 lakhs per annum. The salary will increase with experience.

I hope this helps

Goodluck!
