Hey,
Its pretty tough to get any good stream(placement wise) in any nit if you are from General category.Still you can get streams like chemical ,civil etc in North East Nits. If you are OBC then you may get Mechanical or Chemical in a decent NIT(like Nit jamshedpur) provided you belong to that state(state quota).If you are SC/ST then you may get stream of your choice in lower nits .
