It totaly depends on you and your hard work. Dropping a year is not necessary that you will get 200+ next year. It all depends on your determination. If you are determined to get into top NITs or IITs then you can drop a year. Otherwise, you can also take admission in private colleges. You have chances to get good private colleges.
