The admission depends on the rank you have. The JoSAA is the authority that admits students to IITs, NITs, IIITs, GFTIs. Except IITs all others consider JEE Mains. Based on the rank in the rank list, the admission proceeds. If you do not belong to General category then you will be included in the category wise rank list and admission consider this category wise rank list. JoSAA conducts allotment throug several rounds and if your rank is included or between opening and closing ranks you can apply. There are also many other colleges that admit students based on the JEE Mains score other than participating in JoSAA. You can consider that too.
