According to me you might get into lower level NITs Like Srinagar, Sikkim etc. but you might not get into your desired branch. You need a much lower rank to get into the core branched and even lower for CS and IT.

What I would suggest is that try other colleges other than NITs if you are not getting your desired branch rather than settling for a branch which you don't prefer just for the sake of getting into NIT's. Also if you wish to give yourself second chance and write the exam again you can go for it.

Other than that trying giving other exams like COMEDK, VITEEE etc.
