I got preparatory rank 131 her advance .I am scheduled.do I get seat in iit.

Hi Varun.

Preparatory course conducted by IITs is actually a different thing. I guess, you know that. And, with a rank of 131 under SC category for prep. course, your chances are not so high, but still, you have a fair chance. If the students with higher rank doesn't show up for counselling, you can get a seat. What you can do is, give all the possible options in JoSAA option registration, so that you have a better chance of getting admission in any of the IITs, that conduct preparatory course.

And, if you don't know about preparatory course, it is a 1 yr course on PCM and English, after which you have to appear for a test, and if you qualify that, you can study in IIT, for the course that you get now.
