I got rank 19000 in mains which nit colleges offer me i am general category

Dear aspirant,

I agree with you that it majorly depends on whether you want a good branch or a good college.

In NITs like Warangal, Trichy, Surathkal; you'll get branches like Biotechnology, Metallurgy, etc and dual degree course in NIT Rourkela(Even these are not guaranteed).

But if you want any particular branch, say CS, then I think that your home state NIT will be best choice for you.

If you want decent branch along with a good college, then you can also go for Computer Science ,Electrical, Mechanical, Astronomy, etc...

You can check last year closing ranks of all NITs and other colleges in websites as like you are interested.
