To be eligible to give GATE candidates must have passed graduation in engineering/technology or Master’s degree in any relevant science subject or Candidates in the pre-final or final year of their qualifying degree are also eligible to appear for GATE 2023. You have a backlog so you will not be eligible to give GATE until you clear that backlog. IIT Kanpur have released the GATE 2023 eligibility criteria in the official brochure.
