No, gone are those day when admission was done on the basic of board marks.To get admission in engineering college you must have to appear in any of the entrance exams like jee,bitsat etc and you will have to score good in that.Though board marks is compulsory in admission in terms of getting a good branch but first you need to appear in those examination.

Thanks for asking your query,on the basis of 12 percentage on college gives admission, for admission you have to give entrance examination and if selected then you would have to attend the counseling.For engineering govt and private colleges are there and for law you also have both options either govt or private.
