I would be very honest with you. These exams like jee mains and advanced requires atleast couple of years dedication. And the candidate in this period of time should be very focused towards his/her goal regardless of what is happening in the outside world.

So, if you don't have any idea of JEE mains and you are starting now so it would be next to impossible to crack it but on the other hand if you have a bit of knowledge then just buckle up and dedicate these 6 months completely to your studies.

If you are entirely blank about your study then it can be very hard. But if you have at least your basics cleared in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics then with 3 months of regular studies you can do well atleast you can get the lower NIT's or upper NIT's in lower branches. But its not that easy in order to be regular you need to put efforts. So don't think about what you have to do instead start doing as soon as possible.
