I have 6 subjects including optional in my class 12. But i failed in my optional subject and i got passed in my 5 main subjects. can I prepare for upsc cse or not.

Hello,

If your  overall status shows pass then there will be no problem. You have to do graduation after 12th then you can sit for UPSC exam.

The following list of UPSC qualifying requirements: -

-You must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited university in any subject.

-Minimum age requirement: To be eligible, you must be at least 21 years old as of the first of August of the application year, or as of the first of August 2022 for UPSC 2022.

-The maximum age limit is 32 years; however, the upper age limit is relaxed by 3 years for obcs and by 5 years for sc/sts.
