See,  only 800 seats are added in all NITs this year under EWS category. And in that category, you are having 7196 rank. So, getting a seat under this quota is quite difficult as there are many students ahead of you and seats alloted very less. But, you can try using your general rank. Though, you had not mentioned your general rank, I think you can atleast get a seat in new NITs and am not sure about the branch. In such questions, try to mention all details like general rank, home state and branch.
