I have a valid gate score and i filled it in aktu application form for mtech but still i was asked to fill exam centres. why is it so??

Thank you. Actually in aktu mtech brochure it was given that gate qualified candidate will get direct admission without any entrance test. But when I filled the application form i also had to fill centre for entrance exam. Now i want to ask do i need to write the entrance exam??
