To be a nutritionist in India you must follow the below given steps

• complete your 10+2 level education in science stream from a recognized board of education.
• Pursuing BSc in food science and nutrition which is a three years long undergraduate degree course.

After your graduate degree you can either go for a post graduate diploma course in nutrition and dietetics which is one year long or you can enroll in any of the two years long masters degree courses below

• Nutrition and food processing
• Dietetics and applied nutrition
• Food science and nutrition
• Nutrition and health communication

since you want to become a nutritionist you should take para science or chemistry and biology compulsory in your 12th course. once you complete your 12th studies you may take b.sc in nutrition/ Nutrition and Dietetics/ food and nutrition  etc.

In most of the college there is less of opportunity after completing b.sc course in nutrition, however candidates should go for higher studies like masters or mphil to get teaching, research assistant, nutritionist like positions.
