If they confirm that your TC and gap certificate will be accepted for now, you can submit the discontinuation certificate later. While the gap certificate addresses the time gap, the Discontinuation Certificate from your previous college confirms that you have officially discontinued your studies there. This might be necessary if you officially cancelled your admission before the reporting period ended. If you canceled before the end of the counseling period, the college may not be able to charge you the full fees.
