EWS (Economical weaker section) category is a part of General/open category and OBC is other backward classes. So, generally the cutoff for any exam (Jee mains, NEET etc.) is higher for General/open category candidates than OBC category cutoff marks. So, eventually EWS being a part of general category has higher cutoff marks than any of the OBC cutoff marks.
