i have given jee mains in 2018 but did not qualify for jee advance so will it be considered as my first attempt or not?

Hi there,
Hope you are doing well.
Yes, If you have attempted the exam i.e. you have secured a rank then it would be considered your first attempt.
But it won't be your first attempt for JEE Advanced as you are not selected for the exam.

Hello,
It will be counted as your first attempt even if you didn't qualify for jee advanced because in the year in which you gave class 12th board exams,3 attempts for jee mains and 2 attempts for jee advanced is allowed in successive years.
