For getting admission in any of the NIT's across India it is mandatory to give JEE Mains examination, without giving JEE mains you cannot apply in any of the NIT's across India.But you can surely apply for some of the best private colleges across India.

You scored a very competitive rank . So yes you have decent chances to get a seat in NIIT . Also with high chances you may get a nice stream too . So you must go for counseling process and see what happens. Also you fit it a category so your chances get increased.

Yes your reserved category rank is no doubt good to get a seat in nit. You may get nit trichy or nit suratkal. But you may not get cse branch. So i would suggest that you go for nit Rajasthan, Punjab, Rourkela, Durgapur. You have a chance of getting cse here. All the best....
