Respected Sir,

the cut off for mechanical engineering in GATE 2017 was 32.87 so you can expect that this year also it would be around that only.

since you have got 36 marks only so i want think that is enough for getting admission in any of the reputed colleges but i can this you should try and do preparation for a year i am sure you can score well and get a good college for M.Tech.

this year you can try for the college but as you can see that it is only the qualifying marks which is not enough to get admission in any reputed colleges.

Hi Anil

The chances of having a reputed college depend by and large on your category. If you belong to the general category, its difficult to get a reputed college with this rank. However, having an OBC or sc/st certificate will increase your cahnces of getting a reputed college.

All the best!
