You have got 6k rank according to CRL or category rank. Whichever it is, you can get NIT but it's your choice which NITs preference you are giving in the choice filling process and you are getting Mechanical engineering branch in that NIT or not. To know about NITs you can check on NIRF ranking and through JOSAA website you can find previous years as well this year opening and closing rank for NITs and mechanical engineering branch.

Hello Rekha. Based on your rank in JEE Mains you can get Mechanical Engineering in NIT Warangal ,NIT Surathkal,NIT Trichy ,NIT Rourkela as well .But for NIT Trichy and NIT Warangal you might need to wait for the successive rounds of seat allotment. You can also get Mechanical in NI T Raipur or even NIT Jamshedpur .

Forst of all congratulations for getting such a good rank in JEE Main. With a rank of 6000 in JEE Main you can get Mechanical Engineering in every NIT except NIT Trichy .
