Hello,
If you can score 84 marks in jee mains then most probably you can get private colleges only.These are-Galgotias college,Silicon,GL Bajaj,LPU,CV RAMAN,..
For top colleges your marks needs to be greater than 120 in jee mains.

And hey....what and how is it decided on which IIT we will go....is it our marks or something else

it is decided on the basis of your rank and the cutoff rank for every iits varies every year
