If you are from general candidate than you should score high for getting good NIT,IIITs with CSE department.
For getting good NIT,IIIT percentile should be 98 and above.
After 98 percentile candidate have rank around AIR 10000 which is good rank for getting NIT,IIITs.

Candidate with more than 92 percentile you able to get GFTIs,CFTIs .
There are other factors after percentile system which can help you to get NIT such as domicile with this state quota you can get State NIT but for you my suggestion is to go for April Jee with little more effort so you can increase your percentile for fetch good NIT seat.
To increase percentile in April Jee main you should do model question paper to improve percentile in limited time period.
