Yes it might effect, if you are willing to appear for mains again, u shall get a chance less

Hello,
Yes that might affect.Year of passing is the most important thing that is considered by jee authorities for jee mains examination.So now as early as possible try to contact them and tell them your problem.

It might not effect that much, as the 10th year of passing is for eligibility criteria and number of times to attempt the exam.
