The candidates who want to give Joint entrance examination should have passed 10+2 level or any equivalent exam and are eligible to write Joint entrance examination for 2 years. For example for year 2020 joint entrance examination the candidates who have passed 10+2 level or any equivalent exam in the year 2018 and 2019 are eligible to give the exam. The maximum attempts for JEE advance are 2 that too in two consecutive years. For JEE main the candidates can appear twice a year in three consecutive year after the 12th. It has certain eligibility criteria like the score for JEE main, Age limit (no specific criteria but court has given order that whoever are more than 25 years are also eligible), number of attempts (2), 12th or equivalent examination, earlier admissions in IITs (who have already admitted will not be eligible).
