That will surely won't affect your placements. Yes there are few companies that don't allow this type of students, eg bajaj in automobile sector, but rest companies don't much rely on this thing. They select based on your college performance and your technical knowledge.

Hi akarsh, one year gap will not effect you placement.They will ask you some questions regarding your one year gap.If you will have a valid reason for it then it won't be a problem because many people do drop after 12 but they get placed.

It's okay to admit that. You are eligible for placements. At max, they don't see in the interview within 6seconds(recruiter only see 6 seconds at your resume) and if you're luck is not good, they can. Just be prepare for that, if it's true/ false be confident while saying and that answer must satisfy them.
