I have passed jee mains exam 2021, Can I appear jee advanced in next year 2022 instead of appearing in this year 2021?
Hello Aspirant,
Yes of course you can appear for JEE-Advance 2022 but for JEE-Advance 2022 you need to qualify JEE-Main 2022 because from qualification of JEE-Main 2021 you cannot sit for JEE-Advance 2022. Also note that maximum attempts allowed for JEE-Advance is two so if you are going to pass your class 12th this year means in 2021 then you will be only eligible for JEE-Advance 2021 and 2022 provided that you qualify JEE-main before JEE-Advance. So even if you not appear for JEE-Advance 2021 then also your attempt will be counted and only one attempt would be remaining for you, that would be of JEE-Advance 2022. So to appear for JEE-Advance 2022 you should qualify JEE-Main 2022.
As per the following reservation criteria the candidates would be qualified for JEE-Advance 2021 :
- GEN-EWS - 10%
- OBC-NCL - 27%
- SC - 15%
- ST - 7.5%
- OPEN - 40.5%
- PwD - 5% horizontal reservation in aforesaid categories.
