Now it depends on you whether you want to teach in school or college .

For School :-

You should do graduation from the subject you want to teach like BSc. Biology Hons. and then you can do BEd ( Bachelor of Education ) and then you have to give CTET ( Central Teacher Eligibility Test ) for teaching in government colleges run by central government . You can do MSc. also if you want but CTET is must for central government schools . You can also give STET of a particular state for teaching in government schools of particular state . Private School mostly ask for BSc and BEd only they don't usually look for CTET or STET but for government schools you need to qualify them .

For College :-

You should first do your graduation then your post graduation from a subject of your own choice and then qualify NET ( National Eligibility Test ) , it is an important criteria for teaching in college whether it is government or private . It makes you eligible to apply for lectureship in college and also for fellowship and research programmes in different Institute . You can further do PhD. for promotion after joining college as a lecturer . You can be further promoted on the basis of your performance or research works .
