I understand that you have by mistake uploaded  your thumb impression in the place of signature while filling up the application form and  now are facing a dilemma regarding the same and so to answer your question, probably there would be some issue associated with it as your thumb impression won't match with the one required that is your signature. What I suggest you to do in order to get out of this scenario is that you should address this matter with the appropriate authorities via mail while stating your issue clearly and also send them your signature along with the mail and request them to resolve the discrepancy at the earliest.
