I have secured only 51.4% marks in class 12 .can I prepare for engineering with this marks.

Na Munna, you have to score at least 75% in 12th if you are GEN/OBC and 65% if you are SC/ST to get admission through JEE Mains or JEE advanced.
There is also another criteria to get eligible that is you have to be in top 20 percentile of your 12th board. Info. regarding top 20 percentile is given on http://www.josaa.nic.in
