If you have taken EWS certificate in march of 2022, in the certificate it will be mentioned that you belong to Economically weaker section in the financial year 2021-2022. Because a financial year is from April of some year to march of it's next year. But, you are now entering to college in 2022. So, you must have a certificate for financial year 2022-2023. So, you must take new certificate after April 2022.

I would say you that please take a new EWS certificate after April. Otherwise you would not be considered for EWS category.
