Actually the year of passing 10+2 matters. So, if you have passed your class 12 or equivalent in 2019, you will be eligible else you will not.

Hello,

It wont affect your admission. many candidates take drop to practice and prepare for the entrance exam. there is no bad effect for it. during placement work, you might have to answer purpose of one year drop.

Nothing to get worried. All will turn out good in the end.
