Why are you unable to study? Is it because you find the coaching concept tough to follow? Why did you join coaching? Ask yourself these questions so you understand the reasons behind your inability to study. However, you should sit first and review the options in front. As cracking the entrance exam is the most important thing. There are still 5 months to go for JEE and that is enough time if you utilize it well. It is more so since you don't have the burden of studying for the board exams. There are two options - one is that you study at home every day and attend the test series at the coaching institute and the other is that you attend the classes. The first option is if you can seriously study at home as many have scored well without coaching. However coaching does focus on important topics and JEE Main centric questions so the second option is if you are unable to study by yourself at home. Whatever it is - you have to take the initiative to study and not blame the distance or give reasons like no coaching before. It is imperative that you start now and get going. To crack JEE exam it is not compulsory that you have to join a coaching institute there are many students who have cracked this exam by self study.

You should be highly motivated and determined to crack your exam and if you have taken a drop don't waste it, make it a count. You should try to take admission in one of the top colleges of engineering.

If you want to score good marks in JEE Main make sure your basics are clear. Make sure you read NCERT books throughly. So, that you can solve tricky questions easily.

You should be aware of the complete syllabus, exam pattern and important topics. You should complete your whole syllabus and focus on important topics more. You can solve as many as MCQs. For exam pattern and to know level of questions you can refer previous year papers.

Solve complete mock test series to work on your time management, to analyze your preparation level and to know your strength and weakness. So, you can work upon them.

Revision plays very important role in scoring good marks. You should revise your syllabus properly. You can make your important notes as well which will help you in revision.

All the best for your preparation!!

If you are falling sick because of the travelling, I would advise you to talk to your parents and see if you can avoid the travel part most days. However, I would advise that you attempt the tests the coaching centre holds after studying the syllabus/ chapters as it will allow you to know where you stand in terms of the competition. Prepare well as you have a good amount of time to do so and don't get demotivated. You can do well without coaching also provided you study with an intent to succeed . You could also look at other good engineering entrance exams as a back up plan like VITEEE, BITSAT, SRMJEEE etc. All the best!
