Not necessarily.All you need is the xerox copy of your original marksheet and admit card and filled application form for CBSE IMPROVEMENT EXAMINATION for the year you wish to appear.
You can get the form on the official website of CBSE.
You will then have to submit it to the regional office of CBSE , and afterwards they will provide you with a stamped confirmation page.
