The college offers B.E in 6 specializations and B.Tech in Information Technology. The minimum eligibility is 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects. Only Tamil Nadu candidates are eligible for admission.

Admission is subject to merit and rank secured by the candidate in Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counselling. Shortlisted candidates are called for counselling where seats are allotted based on their merit.

Saveetha Engineering College also offers Lateral Entry to the engineering courses. Candidates applying for Lateral Entry should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Science stream and should have studied Core Mathematics as one of the subjects at degree level with minimum 55% marks (50% for BC and 45 for MBC).
