For getting a college through JEE mains you have to score atleast 75% in boards. But this percentage is only for general category. If you belong to any other category other than general , you can get colleges in this percentage. 75% marks is only compulsory for admission in IIT or NIT
However many GFTIs and other government colleges take admission on the basis of JEE mains rank which does not require any percentage of marks in Boards. Do well in your JEE exams.

Did you fill the form of jee main? I am guessing you haven't.
I am extremely sorry to tell you but now you can not appear in JEE main 2021
This is because,
the last opportunity to fill the application form for JEE main May session was 20th july which has already passed. For this refer

But don't worry you can appear in jee main 2022 and jee main 2023. Don't worry with 72% you are eligible for jee main as there is no percentage barrier for the same

Jee main eligibility criteria is given below-
-) Qualification required :- to be eligible for JEE mains for BE or Btech you need 10+2/equivalent qualification with Physics, mathematics as compulsory subject along with anyone of Chemistry or Biology or Biotechnology or Technical Vocational Subject.
-) Passing year :- one is eligible for JEE main examination for consecutive three years starting from the year of passing for 12th /equivalent examination
So, with passing year in 2021
you are eligible for
-) There is no age limit to be eligible
-) there is no minimum percentage requirement to be eligible for JEE Main.
But yes,
To be eligible for NITs, IIITs, CFTIs one needs at least 75% marks in class 12th if belongs to General or OBC category or at least 65% marks in class 12th if belongs to Sc or St category. For this year i. e 2021 this minimum percentage requirement of 75% - 65 % has been lifted off.
