See admissions criteria for different college different, also the criteria for different courses and exams differ from each other. 

Generally you need to get above 60% in 10+2 to be eligible for majority of college. If you need very gold colleges then you have to score more and also you have to appear for different entrance exams and clear them with good ranks.
