Dear Rakesh, CAT is an online examination of 3 hours duration.The questions in the exam will be of MCQ and TITA type totaling 100 questions. MCQ are multiple choice questions, for which candidates get multiple answer choices. Whereas,TITA is Type In the Answer which means you need to write the answer in the text box that is provided. The Verbal Ability section and Data interpretation-Logical Reasoning section have 24 MCQ questions each. Quantitative Ability has 25 MCQ questions totalling up to 75 questions. The Type in the Answer questions are 25 in number.Each Question has 3 marks and a wrong answer takes away 1 mark. However Type in the Answer questions are exempted from Negative Marking.
