It is a job oriented vocational course. The academic program revolves around food processing and its allied areas. This academic program is also known as B.Voc. Food Processing and Preservation. Food processing is a multidisciplinary field. It consists of elements of chemistry, technology, dairy technology and biology.Food processing deals with activities such as – sourcing and acquiring raw materials (fruits, vegetables etc), food processing systems, processes, relevant equipment, dairy products, fruits and vegetable processing, chemistry, biology, packaging and marketing, storage and transportation techniques etc.it's a 3 years course and for which a candidate should have passed the 12th.
