There are only two chances given to every candidate to appear in JEE Advanced:-

• First Time : you can appear for JEE Advanced in the year in which you appeared in your 12th standard board exams.
• Second Time : you can appear the second time in the year next to the year you appeared in 12th standard board exams.

For example, you gave your 12th standard board examination in the year 2018. So you can appear in JEE Advanced in 2018 and one year post to the year you have appeared for board examination, that is, 2019.
