I passed 12th with 62% in 2023 (52% aggregate in pcm. CBSE). My interest is in technology and software. But many engineering colleges have 60% or 75% aggregate criteria. NIOS admission date is gone. Should I use BOOSE? Will colleges like vit, mit or even srm accept it? Will it cause problems in job interviews?

Well bosse is a recognised code and it is widely accepted in the engineering admissions in specific colleges also like VIT etc though you can directly contact their administration office and confirm the specific eligibility criteria .though the government has already said that Bosse certificate will be valid nationwide But regarding the job interviews though bosse certificate are recognised nationwide some employees may have different preferences and they might prefer traditional boards like CBSE or State Board Still your skills and knowledge in interviews will play a more significant role in securing a job

If you have passed 12th with 62% (52% in PCM), you may face challenges meeting the eligibility criteria for certain top engineering colleges like VIT, MIT, and SRM, as they generally require a minimum of 60% to 75% aggregate in PCM. However, here are some suggestions:

1. Using BOOSE or NIOS:

Both BOOSE and NIOS are recognized boards, and their certificates are valid for admissions. You can apply through these to improve your 12th grade scores and meet the eligibility criteria.

Ensure that the specific college you're applying to accepts these qualifications. Most private institutions do, but it’s better to confirm with the admissions office.

2. Alternative Colleges:

While prestigious colleges may have stricter requirements, several private universities and state engineering colleges have flexible eligibility criteria. Research colleges that accept students with a lower PCM aggregate.

3. Job Prospects:

While 12th-grade marks are not usually considered in job interviews, they might matter for certain government jobs or companies with strict cutoffs. Focus on building strong skills, projects, and internships during your engineering to improve your employability.

4. Next Steps:

If improving your 12th scores through BOOSE or NIOS isn’t an option, you can consider diploma programs that allow lateral entry into engineering. Alternatively, prepare for entrance exams where merit is based on performance, not 12th-grade marks.

Feel free to ask if you need guidance on specific colleges or application processes!
