As per , eligibility criteria one is eligible for JEE advanced examination  in the year in which he or she appears for 12th board examination and the next year following it.

Now, your 12th appearing year is 2020.

So, you were eligible for jee advanced 2020  and also eligible for jee advanced 2021 only. It doesn't matter whether you had appeared in JEE advanced 2020 or not. Jee advanced 2021 will be your last attempt

For example,

JEE advanced 2021 eligibility criteria says that you must have appeared for your class 12th board examination for the first time in the year 2021 or 2020 and also must have qualified JEE mains 2021. The minimum percentage barrier of 75 % in 12th for general/ews/obc or 65 % in case of sc/st is not applicable for the year 2021,it has been lifted off for this year.

If I tell you about Jee main then,

One can give JEE Mains entrance examination for a maximum of 3 consecutive years starting from the year of appearing 12th board examination.

One can give JEE Mains entrance examination for a maximum of 3 consecutive years starting from the year of appearing 12th board examination.

Now,

your year of appearing for 12th board examination is 2020

So, with 2020 as 12th board exam appearing year you were eligible for jee main 2020 and you are eligible for  jee main 2021 and jee main 2022

So you have 8 attempts i. e

• 4 attempts of jee main 2021

• 4 attempts of jee main 2022
